Men learn much of what it means to be a man from their fathers. If no father was present, a boy's ideas of masculinity would come from society, other men observed, and/or Mother. Ideas of masculinity are also formed from a mystical knowing — perhaps stories heard about Father or an intuition of what he was like.
This workshop is for men who wish to creatively explore their father/son relationships. For men whose experience of fathers was loving and openhearted, this may be an opportunity to re-experience that joy. For the many men who find themselves re-enacting negative behaviors reminiscent of their fathers' teachings (for example, impatience or difficulty with touching or trusting), this workshop can be an opportunity to find balance allowing them to be strong without oppressing, and in control without controlling.
